Exciting News!

I'm sorry that I have not been writing quite as much but things have been really busy around here.  Jehovah is really speeding things up.  Granada English is still a group but soon to be a congregation!  When I arrived last September, there were only 8 publishers, 1 elder and 1 ministerial servant.  We now have 3 elders, 3 ministerial servants and 20 publishers.  Elders and ministerial servants are brothers who take the lead in organizing things while publishers are everyone who go from door to door preaching.  We are expecting several more brothers and sisters to move here for a year or more beginning in September.  When I first arrived, we were only having a Sunday meeting in English and a ministry school every other week in a back room in the Kingdom Hall.  After which, we would join Spanish for the rest of the meeting.  Well, a few months ago, we started having a ministry school every week in English.  We all have at least one talk per month but that is just fine!  Our meetings in the back have been quite comical these last several months.  We have so many people that there is standing room only.  The brothers literally step on each others toes and fall over one another trying to take turns at the podium! When it comes time for the song, we are all so close, that it's impossible for everyone to stand because we would be facing each other and nose to nose!  You have to arrive 30 minutes early in order to get a seat or else you have to sit in the main auditorium and listen in Spanish.  Well, after our last CO visit, we were recommended to be a congregation!  Two weeks ago, we were approved to have our first full school and service meeting in English!  I was so excited to understand an entire meeting!  I even got to do a demonstration!  Many, many bible students come to the meetings regularly and are making great progress.  I'll keep you posted as things progress ;-D
