Special Assembly Day en Espanol

Here are some pictures from our Special Assembly Day.  Many of the Mexican brothers whom were assigned to the pioneer route in Nicaragua were present so this was especially exciting.

Trying to fit everyone in the truck for the hour drive to clean the Assembly Hall

Brother cutting the yard with a machete.

Can you see what is hiding in the grass?

Washing ...
Rinsing!
I wonder if they had to draw straws to decide who had to climb up there!
Looking out at our pretty surroundings

Here's a side point to show you how badly everyone wanted to go and help clean.  One of our elders got up to meet at our house to go clean.  When he put his slacks on, he didn't shake them out well enough and unfortunately there was a scorpion in one of his pant legs.  By the time he got the pants off, it had stung him 6 times!  He got on his bike and although his leg was starting to swell, he rode the 8 1/2 miles to our house.  By this time it was rainy season and there is alot of mud.  A truck passed him and covered his nice dress shirt in mud.  He got to our house with a smile, borrowed a shirt from another brother and was still elated about going to clean!  Talk about zeal!

Making sandwiches in the back of the truck after all that hard work.

The big day arrived and everyone was all smiles.
